Alvento Destinations #4 - Just Ride
Alvento Destinations #4 - Just Ride
The fourth release of Destinations is dedicated to the unconditional love of cycling: Just Ride .
11 locations seemingly born for cycling. In the north and south of the peninsula, but also in border regions: Istria, Ticino, France. While previous editions ( Italy Unknown ) focused on bikepacking, this one features some trips with panniers attached to the frame, but in other cases we've identified places where you can stop for a few days and explore the surroundings on your bike.
Road, gravel, and this time even a mountain bike option .
We don't like to categorize; for us, what matters is the spirit with which you approach the journey, how you experience the hours on the bike.
It's a question of approach, of mindset. Just Ride.
Do you want to know which destinations we have chosen?
-
Istrian Kaleidoscope – 220 km of breathtaking coastline and pristine landscapes in inland Istria, with flavors waiting to be discovered.
-
The center, the heart, the hub – Ivrea, in the province of Turin, was the cradle and capital of IT. Now it is the heart of a region with few equals for cycling.
-
The Pros' Choice – If most World Tour teams pass through Livigno to prepare for the big events, is there a reason?
-
Variety Weekend – Three days around Bellinzona to discover picturesque spots, tackle legendary climbs, and experience excellent food and wine.
-
Oltrepò Express – Just a few kilometers from Milan and the manufacturing hub of Northern Italy, there's a region to lose yourself in that's a true gem for two-wheelers.
-
Contrasts in the East – From Tarvisio to Trieste, from the mountains to the sea, a reversed paradigm to cross Friuli-Venezia Giulia, a region with a unique and rare soul.
-
Mountainous sea – Celebrity beaches, vibrant nightlife, luxury. Versilia, however, also boasts quiet roads, steep climbs, and breathtaking landscapes perfect for cycling.
-
Dolomites Archipelago – Around Pozza di Fassa lies a valley that seems designed to surprise with every kilometer spent in the saddle.
-
Present remote – If you've never planned to go cycling in Basilicata, well, now's the time to do so, after reading this article.
-
Last call – There comes a time of year when the Dolomites cease to be victims of overtourism, when they should be savored, perhaps on a mountain bike.
-
In the footsteps of the Tour – Galibier, Alpe d'Huez, Croix de Fer. We chose Les 2 Alpes as our starting point to immerse ourselves in the history of great cycling.
